Without CHEATING, does anyone know what classical piece this is?
It has been my favorite piece of classical music for many, many years, ever since I was a wee geeky little lad.
So, what is it? Guess, guess, guess! Please.

Easy.
Piano Concerto No. 1 in Bb Minor by Tchaikovsky. Back when I thought my future was in piano performance, I tried to play it...
This is just the first movement. The second movement is hauntingly beautiful and the third is just crazily awesome. Check them out on iTunes or something.

I listen to it often. All 30+ minutes of it. I have the Sviatoslaw Richter version (from iTunes ) which comes with Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 (another really spiffy shindig).
I'm thinking of making this a regular occurrence...these trivia things. Seems fun. Maybe? I'll try and not go overboard...
